Tio Jose Coffee, Chocolate & Sugar Cane farm

Our family owned farm has different projects;
The main idea is to integrate in a small coffee farm, native products that have been part of our Costa Rican identity for a very long time.

The main products are these:
1. Coffee; grown for more than 100 years on the farm, one of the strongest products that are a great part of our culture.

2. Cacao or chocolate production; A new project, started only this year, with the idea of integrating it on the farm to diversify the production with something native that has been part of our identity for hundreds of years and we want to bring it back.

3; Sugar Cane; Also a project that started this year, with the intention of providing our family and visitors the opportunity to learn and preserve the traditional production that is been lost in generations.

Our small family owned coffee farm is available (under reservation) to offer you an authentic experience

Our little 5 acre farm has been dedicated for more than 100 years to produce coffee, so we want to share our family experience with people who like to see how a very small farm is run in Costa Rica .

An small scale business model in charge of 3 siblings: José David, Antony Jose & Ivette Yuliana our spouses and our mother: Gliceria, who is always around, is the grandmother of 6 kids, from 0 to 10 year old. We try to make our best from the heritage we have from our ancestors, not only in farmland but also in knowledge and preserving it the best way possible for us.

Note. we don't charge extra for the chocolate experience, we just ask you for a donation to continue learning and sharing
