We are a very small family business, so we are very flexible in what we can provide, so, if you were looking for a different way to spend a day in Costa Rica, we have an option for you: we can customize a one day tour.
1) We will take you to do a very nice walk on the river side of our community where there is also a waterfall.
The walk is a great way to spend a morning in a mountain, getting to know the local vegetation of the area.
A walk to everyone, the little ones of the house also would enjoy this.
The area is being preserved by the locals with a lot of trees and vegetation to ensure the water supply for the community, because it is an area where a lot of natural springs are found.
There is a natural pool that you can enjoy, with water coming directly from a spring, no bleach or chemical use, pure, spring cold water. Very refreshing.
A walk around costa rican Jungle would show you the natural beauty of our country.
2) After a nice walk and a refreshing swim, we can head to our coffee farm just like 5 minutes away to enjoy our Lunch with a typical meal.
3) After Lunch we will start our coffee tour, you will learn about the production in a farm that has been in our family for 3 generations, the way we farm and harvest our coffee, the different steps we are taking to make more sustainable, you will also learn about the drying, pealing and roasting, to finally be able to try the final result in a great coffee cup.
We will also share with you some of the products that we make with our coffee fruit.
4) If you want some real energy, you don't want to miss the sugar cane grinding.
5) And last but not least, you can make your own chocolate, from the chocolate seed to the chocolate bar, all artisan, you can do everything yourself.
We offer this full experience of one day tour in our home town, an experience like what you can find in the cloud forest in monteverde or arenal. And the best part, very near the central valley, close to the Poas volcano, Grecia and Sarchi.
The cost is $80 per person, starting at 10 am and finishing 4 pm, the time can also be customized (if you want to spend mere time at the waterfall or pool we can start earlier)
